This project started with a due diligence study to determine the feasibility of adding three buildings to an existing shopping center with approximately 60,000 square feet of retail space. The study also determined the adequacy of the site’s existing water, fire protection, sewer, drainage, parking and other infrastructure.
Once the owner decided to acquire the property, Bow Engineering’s next responsibilities were to design the site improvements and prepare the construction drawings and permits. We prepared the site, utility and grading plans. We also prepared the Industrial Wastewater Permit application for the grease interceptor. The enlarged buildings required a drainage analysis to ensure that the storm water runoff was adequately conveyed around the buildings and to the storm drainage system.
